Gavaskar's nonsense

You can take a horse to the river, but you can't make it drink. No coach can take this bunch of losers and get them to win a World Cup

Simply because India reached the Worl Cup final in 2003 does not make them a great team. In a sport played in 8 countries, every one of those countries will make the final at some stage. That India reached the final then is due to luck, Dravid, Sehwag and Tendulkar who were in form then. Not anymore. It's very clear that Chappell is the best thing to happen to Indian cricket (along with Kapil Dev). Nobody else has revealed the disease within as clearly, boldly and selflessly as he has. If he were like other Indian coaches or like Wright, he could have walked away with his salary without being confrontationist with the likes of Ganguly and Tendulkar. past Indian cricketers are too afraid of calling a spade a spade. And we all know how biased Gavaskar has been throuoghout his career against White teams...
