Gavaskar Comment on Greg Chappell
by Annaswamy Srinivas on Apr 22, 2007 07:39 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Gavaskar was one of the members involved in appointing Grep Chappell as coach. Now he is saying that Chappell is responsible. He may be taking revenge on that infamous test where he dragged Chetan Chauhan out. Most often Gavaskar puts his foot in mouth. Chappell as a coach is an advisor and he can not bat, ball, catch for players on the field .

Our BCCI issued notice to Sachin and Yuvaraj. After that Sharad Pawar dictated what reply he has to wrire back and Dilip Venksarkar did the ditto to Yuvaraj . This is a big eve wash trying to fool people .

Let them encourage youngsters and grrom a team

Sunil Gavaskar was the only member of the committee, who had opposed the proposal of appointing Greg Chappell as coach. As a coach, Greg is accountable for the performance of the team. He can not pass the buck.

How can you expect Sachin / Yuvraj to keep mum, when the coach (leader of the entire Indian team) goes out open in front of the press criticizing the integrity of Sachin. It is Sachin's moral right to clear the air by clarifying his position. Look at the way any democracy works. Even if a person commits a crime like murder, he is given an opportunity to speak in front of the judge. Judge has to get inputs from defence before passing on a balanced judgement. Greg Chappell should prove why did he question the integrity of a player like Sachin.
