Dravid has proved his ability as a captain by 1> Helping India come out of worldcup in first round. 2> Helping the team to win matches from losing situation.(i.e, against bermuda). 3> Aggresive attitude as captain.(once again against bermuda) 4> totally unbiased.(except favoring sehwag and karnataka player(venkatesh prasad))

captaincy myth when dravid made captain team was broken ship and ranked NO8th in ICC rankingnow even after so many defeats it is ranked NO 6th( till yesterday's varified) dravid is still No 12th in odi ranking . Indian captains in ODIs
Names Matches Won Lost Drawn/Tied Won%
Kapil Dev 74 40 32 2 54.05% M Azharuddin 173 89 76 6/2 51.45% SR Tendulkar 73 23 43 6/1 31.51% SC Ganguly 146 76 65 &nbs p; 5 52.05% R Dravid 65 33 28 4 50.77% dravid led team lesser no of matches and winning average is only 1.22% less than ganguly's success as captain b'cuz ganguly had advantage of leading team more nos of mathces and more lengthier period. Ganguly had god father called dalmiya and full support of bcci but dravid is criticized by chief slectore board officials etc%u2026 India team early exit is b%u2019cuz of dirty negative criket played delebartely by some senior player and chappell had guts to raise issue all senior players are responsible for WC debacle. Some players deliberately played negative cricket and gifted match to Bangladesh.IF players wer not ready to support team cause or captian, why blame captain and coach?? Many ppl say dravid is not inspirational captain and ganguly had that spark If players has to decide to play for team cause or self. And motivation /inspriration can be attained by self attempt ( by positive thinking and right mindset) captain can only tell but individual player has to believe in self strength. In big event like WC if players can get motivated to play negative cricket why can%u2019t they inspire to play for team???
were not ready to play for team cause, then how can captain Ganguly%u2019s media ageing singing one song dravid chapelll should go sachin should retire and ganguly should be captain and yuvraj make VC After his come back ganguly is playing for self to save his wkt and cement his place not even one performance did not for team cause. He is selfish oppertuinst and promote groupism no media makes noise about his dadagiri. Ganguly did not return with team, but when he arrived next day he was not in team uniform but some channel was highlighting it was warm return attitude%u2026.etc.. whole team is responsible for loss and why coach and captain made scapegoat If captain and coach has to go then sachin ganguly sewag zahirkahn harban, dhoni also be out of team

Its not the number which matter, but the way he approaches the game. I dont mind India losing games even againgst Bangladesh, but what matters is how we lost. There should be some fire and fight in the losing games also. It is nowhere to be seen...

if the senior players are going against team and captain u should blame the senior players. A horse can forced to make drink water but sallowing and vomiting act done by horse. If some senior players deliberately play negative cricket and gifted match to SL and bangadesh what captain can do for it?? in team ind all senior players thinks they are leaders, and not to led by anybody.. the body language, fieldin, the way some batsmen got out by playing silly shots, lack of commitment are prove that some players had big role in india's defeat. Had the captain and coach told players not to hold catches, bowlers to give extra runs, not to take singles and accelearate run rate, Poor running bet wkt??? SL and Bangldesh won match b'cuz they played as unit and fight with every ball be it batting, fielding, or bowling?? Ind cric fans do not need the chappel or jagdal's report. If the players are not ready to support team cause it is not captain but all senior players should be dropped.

If you think senior players deliberately played negative cricket and gifted match to SL and bangadesh then DRAVID should be first person to come out in public and speak the truth. I am afraid he is not going to do because he want retain his captaincy at any cost.

Retain Dravid as captain, Sachin should quit ODIs Should Rahul Dravid be replaced as the captain of the Indian team? And the answer was in the negative with 86 per cent saying he should not be removed with only nine per cent saying that he should be replaced. The rest five per cent did not have any opinion. http://www.cricketnext.com/news/retain-dravid-as-captain-sachin-should-quit-odis/24099-13-2.html NDTV's first question to 15 senior officials from different state associations including major ones like Delhi, Mumbai, Punjab and Karnataka was whether the Indian skipper should be sacked or retained.
A staggering 80 per cent said he should continue, while just 13 per cent said he should go. http://www.ndtv.com/ndtvcricket/showstory.aspx?id=284

Sourav vs Dravid: %u2018I Know What Is Right%u2019 During Sourav Ganguly%u2019s knock of 66 (129 balls, four fours) in the opening game against Bangladesh, Dravid is reported to have sent word twice or thrice to his predecessor to get the scoring rate going, but did not draw the desired response. The left-handed batsman, known to be a scourge of left-arm spinners, made just 45 runs off 69 balls against three left-arm spinners. He got out in the 44th over and left the later order with a lot to do, making Dravid fret and fume.
An SMS query about team composition that a journalist had meant for Sourav Ganguly ended up with another player. Of course, as is the nature of intrigues in the Indian team, the latter promptly shared it with skipper Rahul Dravid. The captain told Ganguly at a team meeting that he did not appreciate such interaction with the media. Ganguly shot back: "I have been captain of the Indian team and I know what is right and not. In any case, unlike you, I%u2019ve friends in the media." Enough said.

Looks like Mr/Ms Bhat had access to all the team meetings. Who are you? Mr. Chappel or (?)Dravid?
