This is a dubious decision by BCCI to retain Dravid as the Captain.I am sure that he along with Chappel is responsible for the disastrous performance in the WC. He does not have the qualifications of a natural leader. They (Dravid and Chappel) didn't take the world cup seriously. Remember just two months before the world cup, Dravid was batting in the opening slot when we were having 4 openers in the team. What was the purpose of that? These silly things destroyed the balance of the team. Also, one thing I am pointing is that, in the last world cup Sachin was the opener and based on the foundation he laid, India stormed in to the final ( And he was the top scorer in that edition). It was a foolish decision to put him in the middle order in this series to strengthen the middle order. I don't think any team will do such foolishness. Can u think, the Australians will put Hayden at 4th to strengthen the middle order or put Ponting to open the innings in such a Big series? Only a foolish captain and coach can do that. Sachin is a natural opener and let him open the innings. Also, the position of Dhoni... He is getting only a few balls to bat now a days. Remember when he was promoted in the batting order, he has scored more than 40 in most of the matches and two massive hundreds. Nowadays, after Dravid became the captain, Dhoni is not getting such opportunities. And they were promoting Pathan in the batting order. Now see the situation of Pathan after over experimenting.
So, my opinion is Dravid should leave the captaincy for the good of Indian Team.

Chappelll hold the mirror of dirty politics in ind cricket.Nobody speaks against the 2 superstars like ganguly and sachin ppl blame dravid is not inspriraional captain? But when players only grouped against coach and captain why do't blame the players????
sachin is legendary cricketer and great batsman But nobody is bigger than game or team. Being VC he failed with bat . ganguly and sachin have support of other playes and both had success to kick out chappell out of ind dressing room. but cric fans do not require chappell's report for the failure of WC debacle. the early exit of team from WC is b'czu of some players deliberately played the negative cricket and gifted match to bangadesh and SL .chappelll tried push the senior players from comfort zone and treated every body alike and equalthe body language, negative cricket played by some senior players is proof that they did not support dravid as captain. Even knowing all these players are not with him and ganguly is fighting from backstage for captaincy, and vengsarkar, sharad pawar, ravishastri all are with sachin dravid accepted the captaincy. also he should be aware one more defeat means it may be end of his odi career. Dravid gave 100% team when he was playing under sachin , ganguly . He did not promote gropism or never betrayed his teammates. He trusted that seniors like ganguly sachin bajii will support him. Instead may players played petty politics, let down team. It is loss for dravid, then it is loss for ganguly and sachin also. There is no guarantee that sachin amd ganguly can play next WC, Dravid gave his unconditional support and sacrifices to all captians he played under. Check statistics for last7-8 years and see the contributions of dravid forr little success india had WHY CAN%u2019T OTHER PLAYERS DO THE SAME NOIW??CRICKET ts a team game and ALL PLAYERS have to contribute from bat and ball Captian and coach did not tell senior players to not take singles, waste more balls than runs scored, poor running bet wkt, drop catches, give so many extra to bowlers, por batting and throwing wkt by playing silly shots%u2026. , leadership can only take the horse to the water but the horse as to drink it and not vommit.
Even though all senior players are not supporting him, he is fighing with board for contract, endorosement issie He took fight against chetan desai/ dirty report leak. he fought for Sehwag/pathan in the selection meeting where the W C squad was picked. . Sewag is highest rungetter and socred 100 against bermeada others batsman did not score 100 even against bermada Dravid refused to identify any teammate as doing groupism or out of form or some players are rotten apple. Dravid accepted the responsibility for defeat in public infront of media( sachin can go media against some bad report / email leak but he never accepted the defeat that he also failed with bat) Dravid also asked for one media manager, ad managaer and a saying of captain in selection of youngsters, How can anyone say he is not aggressive or inimaginative or spineless???

Sachin bated brilliently in Last WC sachin scored 37% and main reason to ind won match against pakistan and entered smeis and fianl??But this WC he was VC complete failure. Who is responsible?? Player or coach or captain?? Ganguly had big role in defeat in mathch against Bangladesh. Yuvraj Scored 47 runs in 10 overs India Scored 191 in 50 overs Ganguly Scored 66 runs in 21 overs wasted more balls than runs he scored., Yuvraj Scored 47 runs in 10 overs Rest of team scored 50 in 19 overs Against burmada Ganguly scored 89 in 114 balls wasted 25 balls that is around 4.6 runs per over... compare it to the indian teams average of 8.26 Ganguly was struggling while batting against burmuda, and got 3 lifes Ganguly 7 in 23 balls against SL: Harbajan singh went wktless in 2 matches dhoni failed with bat was laughing when he dro[[ed catch t there were not sight in picture which tv channel shown when India lost ot SL all other players are in tears Tendulkar scored a duck, Ganguly 7 in 23 balls and Yuvraj 6? Dhoni 0?( match against srilanka) zahirkahn was wktless in firest match and in he took 2 wkts against SL but he gave more extra runs b'cuz of erratic bowling. VC captain sachin failed completely with bat coz the players who played all 3 matchs Except dravid munaf yuvraj nobody has shown commitment? ganguly in whole faced 266 balls nearly 50 overs and make only 162 runs, the how much pressure built on bats man other end, not incoming bats man doesn't matter india wins or Lose Ganguly RETURN WAS HYPED BY MEDIA BUT HE WAS NOT IN TEAM UNIFROM ALSO AND HE DID NOT ARRIVE WITH TEAM?? ya you send your opening main batsman to play at no6 and say he donot win matches for us he failed.... he has been playing at top spot facing the opening bowlers and he should have been given the top spot may be with ganguly or uthappa.... why harbhajan was played infront of kumble againts lanka.... i will tell u why because.... harbhajan dravid ko blowj*b deta hai... sehwag ki biwi se dravid ka affair hai aur agarkar dravid ke ghar ki free main safai karta hai isilye use sreesanth ki jagah pe khilayagya.... aur suman ka kisse najayaz rishta hai dravid ya Mrs dravid

Well said Suman..Dravid can play only his wicket not for rest of 10 wickets..As a captain he did good job while india fielding and bowling.We failed only because of poor batting..All has to think how to improve that instead of blamming each other

Well said Rajesh, Dravid may be a good batsman, but he is not worth to be a captain, I think the captaincy should be handed over to Ganguly or Sachin, One of the main blunders, Dravid and Greg committed big mistake by not sending sachind for opening the innings

Look at other captains. They remain active till the last ball is bowled. Look at our captain. Even before the first ball, he gives up and disappointment is written large on his face.
