The World Cup inquiry: What may happen
by sandeep s on Apr 05, 2007 02:01 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Drvid is and was the worst captain ever, due respects to his batting prowess but he just isnt a leader.
Just one or two bad matches dont make sachin a no hoper.
He is and was the best player to play the game.
Boo to those who Boo him.

If Ganguly was out of the WC team we would have definitely reached atleast the semi-finals. The most jealous, the most selfish and the most greeday player to play for India is ganguly. Look at the way he played against B'desh 60 odd runs in 130 balls and in the end plays a totally rash shot and gets out. Against Bermuda when all the other players had a S/R of over 100 this man has less than that. And against SL he again plays a totally unwanted and a rash shot and gets out. It's plain, simple to understand he cannot see Dravid doing well as a captain. It's high time Ganguly, Sehwag, agarkar, dhoni are kicked out and RD given a young team.

Exactly, but not Dhoni. Dhoni needs a bit of luck too. Good Keeper, in fact. The rest all to be thrown away. Dravid may not captain anymore. He'll be unwilling. He may advise the professionals anonymously, for another year or so, and will retire from ODIs, and may be, Tests too.

sachin gave joy when his contributions mattered to the team......can't recall any such performance in recent past. selctions shud be based on the merit of performance & going by that simple & universal yardstick......sachin doesn't deserve a place in the team with his current form.

And don't u remeber the innings mentioned in the article...sachin was selfishness exemplified. He wanted to avoid octroi on the free ferrari...he was greed exemplified. And with the number of times he is getting his stumps broken....he's a lame duck personified !

Nobody races an unfit & old horse just coz it ran well in its prime.
