Lavakar loves to write distasteful and capricious articles denigrating the deposed India's achievers. Even after watching Chappell%u2019s antics for 2 years and seeing him rave and rant at the media, our dear Lavakar continues his "native-bashing" to gain the white man's favor. Wake up, Lava: quite saying "me love you long time..." to any old white man.
This is the age of Indian champions... be justly proud of our great achievers.
There are many "old" players like McGrath, Jayasurya, Jacques Kallis, who are doing great this WC. They were well "coached" and motivated by their captains. If these guys had Chappell, they would have sucked much worse than our oldies.
The Indian team looked very "badly coached" and totally lacked "leadership" on the field. So even bright young players looked lazy and confused on the field.
Every player (even stars) need to be "strategically" guided for EVERY GAME, since each game is different. The team cause is also badly hurt by a "cry-baby" captain like Dravid.
I am not qualified to comment on who should stay and who should not, in the Indian team. There are much better people than you or me to decide that. But I am sure about one thing. Greg Chappell failed at his job, so we need to hire someone else. And we need a motivator as a captain that can out-smart the opposition.

Thakurta , you are one sick writer i have even seen.were you living in a dumpster when Dravid gave his unconditional support and sacrifices to all captians he played under. Just scratch your head and look back for last 5 years and you will know who was responsible for that ever little success india had .With due respects to all players, people should understand its a team game and contribute from bat and ball , leadership can only take the horse to the water but the horse as to drink it and not vommit. Better wake up now and write sensibly rather than blabbering rubbish .

Well said buddy!!! Lavakare like few other is still Chappell struck and cannot come out of it. If Tendulkar was unhappy with the decisions Lavakare mentions in his column, it was justified. Dravid has poor leadership skills and it has been demonstrated several times. He doesn't know how to back his team members. He kept on following what Greggu Dada told him to do until recently he got somewhat ackwardly stuck to Sehwag. If you declare an innings when a guy is few runs short of his double century without any resonable reason, the guy has every right to be angry.

I can understand why a selfish guy like Tendulkar keeps a grudge againts Dravid for declaring the innings before he makes his double century. But, why do you have to keep such things in mind, instead of thinking about the present. Dravid is a much better captain than Tendulkar ever was. Why do we need a player like Tendulkar who fails everytime we need him. It's better Tendulkar retires gracefully.
