Cheap Allegations

I do not question the writer's right to critize Tendulkar or any one else for that matter. What is objectionable his allegation against BCCI president and chief selector that possible biase on linguistic basis will play a part in deciding action against Tendulkar. This is cheap and unscruplous charge without any basis. One may understand if he calls these persons corrupt or incompetant. But by their actions so far, neither Pawar, nor Vengsarkar have shown any inclination to do favours to Maharashtrians in particular.

The writer goes on to say that Pawar is a master at winning friends. I would like to ask Mr. Lavkare, that if Pawar had got bogged down by regional biases, how did he manage to get friends cutting accross various regions?

The bottom line is that the writer has tried to create some sensation by making these petty claims, not backed up by any evidence or logic.
