This is a good article by reddiff. Chappell is a brilliant coach and is trying his utmost to bring discipline to the team and make them a fighting unit but he cannnot do it unless he receives cooperation from all sectors. The public just wants to blame someone else other than their beloved cricket stars who they worship. The public nowadays is so narrowminded that they cant even open their eyes and see whose fault it is for the Indian teams horrible performance. They will blame Chappell, they will blame Ian Frazer but they wont blame the actual culprits who are the Indian team. The Bengalis support Ganguly no matter wat and the Maharashtrans support Sachin. Putting the country ahead of everything else should be the approach.The public themselves bring diversity to the team. If someone is underperforming he should be shown the door and asked to prove his value again. Its because of this reason the Australian team is so successful because of how their system works. People plz grow up and start putting your country ahead of ur cricketing Gods. Dont blame Chappell or any1 other than the cricketers who forgot the value of wearing the Indian colours.

It is one of the best thing that had ever happened to Indian Cricket, ie the resigning of Greg Chappel. He cannot go on blamimg everybody for any failure except him . As a manager he too is resposible and he has seldom owned any responsibility for any failure so far , since his taking over as coach . He ha sonly taken the Indian Team backward and clasic example being , making Ifran what he is worth today. And too many and too much of experimantation with the batting and the bowling slots only has led to so many failures including the exit from the worldcup in earlier stages. Hence Greg chappel rather than , also owning(sharing) resposibility of failures , should stop blaming others , in future, if he has to be a succesful coach

Did Chappell make Sachin,Sehwag forget how to bat, Pathan,Harbhajan forget how to bowl?? Wen India beat Sri Lanka 6-1 Pakistan 4-1 and had a chasing streak of 17 games, did ull have a problem wid the coach at that time?? Evry1 says Chappell is responsible for India's failure but plz tell me how is it his fault?? There are 11 players who come out and play and ur goin to blame sm1 who sits in the dressing room?? Ppl grow up and look at the facts. Ur cricketing heroes underperformed and let ull down. Stop blaming any1 else and start facing true facts.

Brilliant coach????? Why sir? The coach is not one who tells the players their flaws. That even we can do! He is one who should iron out the flaws. Can you name any one player who has improved under Chappell?
