Let the mafia go NOW
by Sam Walton on Apr 05, 2007 04:26 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

First good luck to Greg in whatever you choose to do. I am sure you will end up with a team and cricket board where merit is the key aspect. After all in India meritocracy is not the known way of doing things. We have reservations in every walk of life.

The second aspect of this is very obvious. Greg owned up and he QUIT. What would the mafia and its ring leader Sachin do? They will talk how great they were in the last 17 years, how sorry they are and shed crocodile tears. The prize for all is the mafia leader will become the Captain. BCCI, the crap they are are s..in their pants how to handle the ICL issue.

Go Chandra. Let us whack BCCI, the mafia and do something good for the fans

What good luck do u want to give to the guy who showed his finger at all cricket fans 15 months ago. He is an arrogant and immoral human being.....Sachin not playing well is a different issue. The issue now is that Greg has been leaking team matters to media via email, sms etc, this is a very immoral activity. Greg doesnt deserve any respect cos he has no self-respect.

Well well..its you, the Indian fans who booed the team and supported SA at the eden Gardens when Ganguly was not included in the team. No wonder why Greg showed his finger to the fans. Talking of arrogance, are the fans not arrogant. what about this guy who knocked chappell in Bhubneshwar Airport. Indian team needs arrogant coaches else you cant cope up with the so called seniors of the team who think that they are immortals. Where were you when Ganguly was leaking the dressing room tiff. Imagine if what chappell had said is true. Will you go out and bash up sachin and sourav. Come on guys. Be sensible. Chappell tried his best. Its the BCCI board who preffered him ahead of Amarnath because of his dynamic views. If there is the so called difference between the seniors and juniors and a bunch of people join hands and undermin the captain, well India can never win even if GOD becomes the captain

Mate please go and check the facts.. Chappel tried to do the same thing as South australian coach and was sacked. Even steve Waugh requested Ganguly not to go with chappel as he will destroy the whole team and now I wonder how true Mr Waugh was and is..Respect the legends like Tendulkar and its only few idiots like you who can question his ability just after failing in two matches.. Infact even your Ponting hasn't done anything great yet in the world cup..so please go and shit about him first..Bloody jealous ****

Why only Australia and SA matches. Bring
Srilank, Pakistan, West Indies etc. and at the same time bring stike rate also. because ODI is
a limited over macth.

Australia and SA are the best two in this time. If you compare the indivduals performance the truth comes out. There is an article in Cricinfo on this..

Walton,
bring the srike rate also. Because ODI
is a limited over match and and signify who's
contribution (runs strike rate) is real
significant for the team win or loss.

You can not neglect New Zealand, West Indies, Srilanka, England, Pakistan too.
They are all very good team and beat Aus and SA too.

SAchin going out to bat against Lanka, a crucial match, scoring duck and returning. Did Greg stopped him from scoring. In the 1st match against bangladesh he failed miserably. did greg stopped him from scoring. Don't blame the stage if you don't know dancing.

well said guys, ofcourse greg chappell showed his finger but why did he do like tat bcoz of arrogant fans and see the records when greg was the coach it wasn't too bad india wont 17 consecutive matches and then enters the devil named sachin tendulkar..... india starts loosing once this fellow was back into the team, ajit agarkar became a permanent member after this fellow entered into the team, poor fellow kaif was dropped regardless of being the only consistent player in west indies. can't blame only chappel but also to blame sachin and other senior players as well just think of ganguly getting dropped from the team if an indian coach was there ganguly will be still playing and moreover gregchappel is frm australia where even legends like michael bevan, steve waugh, mark waugh get dropped not bcoz of inside politics but due to lack of performance.

selectors look beyond maharastra, maharastra is not the only state in india select players regardless of where they are from.....

Sachin doesnt deserve a place in Indian team based on current form. But thats not reason for the firaangi coach to create ripples in media by his periodic email/sms leaks. He knew had to go and thats why he resigned. For all those who support him, learn the facts 1st b4 blindly supporting a brainless white man's words

Raja, you are not raja but praja.

Steve Waugh dropped or resigned because Pointing alreay too the charge and team was leading wins.
And also steve was not out performer. Same thing is Bevan. Mark Waugh was bit out of form.

Australian selectors also not looking for the region based selection (like there must be
one/two players from South Zone, East zone ...so..so like INDIA.

Players should be picked out based on the overall performace. If ten players come from
South or West or North, it does not matter. Problem of selection in INDIA is lot of politics
and money laundering goes on during selection which is not in Australia.
