new coach and sachin
by shibananda biswas on Apr 04, 2007 08:20 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

John Buchanan is the first choice...India need a coach who will be very good at man management and also will stay away from focus and media...also BCCI need to be strict in its rules and should give the coach and captain full support...India can only do well if it can nullify its star studded system and try to produce sporting pitches for domestic cricket(not the flat ones).
I am also a Sachin fan but plz stop supporting Sachin blindly...can any one show few examples except from sharjah where Sachin has won matches for India...He is the king of flat tracks...he has scored only 155 runs in last 11 matches against Australia and South Africa...at an average of 14...for past few years he has been scoring runs against the minows whereas a player of his caliber should stop playing matches against them...but he will continue to do so for records...everyone of us now knows that how he plays when he is nearing a century...once upon a time he used to dominate all the bowlers around the world and now a debutant or an irregular bowler can make him struggle for runs...can anybody explain why there is not a single innings of Tendulkar in top 100 innings???I think it is high time for him to retire...

oh!! man thanks for something which i always wanted to write, our so called idol Mr sachin tendulakar must be realising now that you cant fool all the people all the time,ok fine you have good technique, good very good but tell me me sachin what the hell is of the use of such technique when it elopes the moment india is in a difficult situation....sorry man you can not be compared to steve waugh, brian lara or for that matter injmam ul haque, these people win matches for their country......sorry for being little rude and using only small fonts but i cant help it because sachin has become so pedestrian that no superlative suits him anymore.

you had a great time man, just say goodbye now and have a nice new innings at your restaurant, may be it needs you more than your country.goodluck

Good one Rajesh and Shibananda. You both have virtually written all the words that were in my mind. One cant fool all the people all the time...!

Unfortunately after his interview in TOI and after Greg Chappel's retirement, I will be praying for his failure everytime he bats....very unfortunate but diehard fans dont have a choice. Sachin put himself in this situation and has no one else to blame for this.

Guys, I second your opinion. Great fan of sachin once upon a time, was fooled by some of his performances but when it mattered the most the guy is no where to be seen and the same goes for minnow basher Ganguly. Pity that players like Sachin, Ganguly, Agarkar, Harbhajan, Sehwag are trying their best (in a wrong full way) to keep their places in side and inturn stopping the new wave of more hungry players to wear Indian blue. Manjerekar said it right - Chappell held a mirror to indian cricket and he found some real selfish players.
