The author's article has left me puzzled. It seems nothing is Chappel's responsibility - Not to get Irfan back to the bowler he was, not to get our bowlers to finish the opposition's tail, and so on. These are what these players are supposed to achieve on their own. Why then, one wonders, have Chappel ? To create rift amongst players and leak inflammatory messages to the media ? Surely we can find one in a population of billion to do that for us. And at considerably lower consideration at that.
My fear is, in trying to go against the tide the author lost perspective. We will still need to call a spade a spade. Chappel was an outstanding cricketer. He is a poor coach. Earlier we accpet this, better for Indian cricket!
Last point - That idiot box Srikkanth was the 30-40 run opener who was the highest scorer (amongst players of both sides) in the finals of both the WC 1983 and the World Championship of Cricket in 1985, the only two major multi nation tournaments won by India.

srikanth and sehwag will win u 1 match in 10. Jayasurya,fleming will win 3-4 /10.
How can u say chappel is poor coach? India went on to make 17 consecutive successful chases under him n won their first test in RSA with him(also a series win in WI)
U guys want a scapegoat, so make chappel one. Do u realise this fact?
The author has correctly hit upon imprtant facts. Pathan loosing his bowling prowess cos of batting just shows his lack of awareness in bowling. Bajji never seemes a grt spinner like a warne or murali. Powar on other hand has acclaimed great praise from all quarters. He looks like getting a wicket evry over.
What wrong has author said?
Infact i think Indians lack of ability to adapt to fast n really slow wickets caused them defeat. They utterly failed in RSA one-day series and so too in West-Indies before that.
Slam bang is not the way on really slow tracks.I'm not saying cricketers r to be blamed..i'm saying one shud understand the real facts n try to rectify defects. A spade is a spade right..!! Stop looking for scapegoats, if u can't think clearly be silent ...don't say dumb shi*
