How is Chappell responsible?
by Bankim Mazumdar on Apr 03, 2007 02:39 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

I would like to put it this way "What is Chappell's contribution to Indian cricket for last two years. What exceptional thing has he done, which Amarnath or Madan Lal or Sandeep Patil could not have done?"

Chappell has succeeded in vertically dividing India in the sense that the souterners denigrate Ganguly, Tendulkar, Sehwag and Harbhajan. Nortehers/ Easterners are equally vehement in denigrating Dravid's meak captaincy.

What Team Australlia failed to do in cricketing field, Chappell has succeeded doing single handedly by playing politics and GETTING PAID FOR THAT, too!

Chappell's contribution to team building is a big ZERO. Let him gracefully fly back to Canbera!

The Indian players led by Ganguly are masters at such divisive politics. We do not need Chappel for this.
