It's always common to blame the captain for the defeat, but this is a team effort. In these kind of critical situations senior people like Sachin should take the responsibility to tackle the game, but see how did he out against Srilanka. I am agree with Ian Chappell statement Sachin should retire now.

Don't you know that is a company doesn't perform, the CEO is fired???????????? Is it the CEO's fault??? A captain has to take responsibility for his teams performance!!!!!

There is difference between a leader and a boss. Captain is a leader where as CEO is a BOSS.

At the end of the day, English is just a language. Just because you are superior in a language , it doesn't make you any smarter!! Pay some respect to an ardent cricket fan !!

Most of the gentleman who were captain for the team lost in major events like WORLD cup, took the responsibility and resigned. They said, they could not lead the team in right ways. Examples are Martin Crow, Shawn Pollock, Joysuriya, Attapatu, etc.
If Dravid is a gentleman he should resign from captaincy, otherwise it means he a very CHEAP person.
