After this debacle I have no faith left for Dravid not only as a captain but also as a player. My assumption is if the captaincy is stripped off from him he may get back to his usual form. Infact I did not see much use of him in this world cup. He was more of a burden and less of a player. Besides, this Shah is the foundation of the trio-MORE-Chappel-Dravid. Most of the people are not happy with this TRIO. They have solid reasons for that after this debacle. Interestingly, I saw one Indian News paper, where they depicted Dravid relaxing in a cool breeze while Dhoni warming up for the cricket. If that is the level of dedication one needs to have in cricket then I would prefer to go ahead with the Young players and like to see one as captaining Indian team say Yvraj or Sewag. This world cup was a testimony to Dravids incompetence as a captain. If you guys dont agree with that then you do not want any good for your country but the politics.

i'm very sorry to tell u that u really lack cricketing acumen..and if u don't then i'm absolutely sure u are not using it..firstly, the only reason i think that people are fed up with dravid and chappel is b'coz of one, rahul's demand for commitment(which most of the players dont seem to be ready to give) and i don't believe that dhoni is more committed than dravid..do u remember the last tour to westindies and what harbhajan, yuvraj and dhoni did in the middle of a test match??? chappel is a man people love to hate..but if u think logically and see the body language of the players chappel calls a spade a spade..yuvi or sehwag are the worst possible choices for captain..one can't find his feet when at the crease and the other thinks he walks a few inches above the ground..secondly, dravid as a player..tell me one cricketer u can rely on in times of crisis except dravid..and please talk from your mind not the heart..he has been the work horse of the indian batting..

Buddy if it were 2003 I would have agreed with you on Dravid. He used to be a wall in the team...very calm, complacent and decent cricketer. But you just look at him now.The obsession for captaincy has taken his natural ability.I still feel things have not gone that far.He can still come out of his debacle if he leaves his captaincy job.He is not fit to do that buddy.Besides if Yvraj/Sewag becomes the captain, then we can have some stability in the team which will be good for long run.

Mr Levis u r almost correct in what u have said. Dravid dont deserve this prestigious post, because he failed to perform. If people say the players have played like individuals, not as team , blame it upon CHAPELL AND DRAVID. If its not there responsibility to bring the most out of their players, then who is responsible for that. Its a responsibility of Captain only. The truth is that, Dravid dont have that potential or strength , so that the players can have a faith upon him, he dont have that potential to take the players into confidence.
My view is that only a mature team should play the big events. But in Indian team the players were matured, but not the team, they have lacked the team work spirit and experience. Is that was the 2007 mission...
Here in todays world only one thing is important , that is performance, if anybodies fail in it in many series regularly, why to go forward with it.. it is as simple, Dravid fails to perform as a captain, snatch away frm him the crown..
