If Dravid is most astute then Niranjan Shah is the most good looking person on earth. Reasons of failure of team India. a)Cricket is a team game. If you remove the Captain mercilessly just when he started recovering from a bad patch with a predetermined plan.From one day, from test and then from the team altogether, you disturb the rythm of the team. b)You with vengeance start serching for an alternative to a person who still has a few years of cricket left, then your intentions are clear.You do not think about cricket or the team, you just have a petty agenda of blocking somebody's chances of redemtion, corrections and improvements. c) This petty agenda gets you out of focus. All your energy is concentrated on a negative agenda.You cn not see positive feel positive.In such a situation you can never be a role model. Other players canot accept you as a true leader. d)You also are not consistent in your planning. You go on testing players till the eve of the cup. Instead of encouraging the players going through a bad patch, you abuse them and drop them. You try very mediocre players from the domestic circuit. Here also you do not bring in the most prolific run getters of most wicket taking bowlers from the domestic cicuit. e) In a word you create an air of uncertainty among all the players. The old the new and the not so old. f) In such a given situation you can not get the best from your team. All the members become shaky and uncertain. g) You ruin the team in the process and your expection that players would give their best out of fear psychosis is a wrong theory.Negative incentive is not as rewarding as a positive incentive of appreciation from your coach or captain. " You didnt play? Okay never mind. Actually you should have done this or should not have done this. All right better luck next time, we are with you." h) This is called team spirit. This is called man management. I understand Chappel Rahul combination totally failed to consider this aspect of Indian cricket.They thought they would carry on experiments, drive out all legacies of the past captain and somehow put up a disjointed bunch of brilliant players who will perform for them. This is nver possible. The team spirit left by Saurav legacy continued in the first phase of Rahul Chappel era and won some matches. It evaporated too soon. Too much of experiments and ulterior motive ruined the team and the resultant humiliation for a nation of 125 million followed. This is clear logic. In the circumstances I see only one person standing above the rest to lead India for another two years required for grooming a new leader. This interim Captaincy must go to Saurav Ganguly. Obstinates term me as regionally biased, but it is only a coincidence that he is also an Indian hailing from the East.

After reading all that you write, one realizes you are obsessed with Ganguly. Why don't you guys come to terms with life ? He's a "gone to gully" case. That is his standard of cricket now. Over blinking eyes, running nose, poor quality of batting, not able to see fast paced balls, flashing outside the off stump, confused running between wickets, poor fielding, are some the attributes of this once upon a time, useful cricketer. So what if your time in quality cricket is over ? Today, when I see children play in a park in front of my house, the common perception is "Ganguly aaya. Isko idhar ball dall, ud jayega" So much for the grand old man of cricket, Ganguly.

team india was broken ship when dravid made captain and ranked No8 in ICC ranking ( even now it is ranked No6)This WC team India %u2018s early exit, b%u2019cuz some players delieberatley palyed negative cricket and betryed team and dtiched dravid.ateam. If players are not ready to support team cause what capatain.some players fielding and body language was visible that as if they were playing an practice match and gifted match to Bangladesh an early exit from WC means dravid is not good captian and ganguly%u2019s records not harmed When players only go against captain and coach and betray teammates why blame captain or coach??If player can not perform for team what is his role ? He should be kicked out team IF players can get negative inspiration why could not players did not perform for team??how can cricket expert say that captain is not motivating player?/ WC is the biggest event of cricket and those players who get chance to play this on behalf of team India?chappel tried to push the palyers comofrt zone and bring professionalism. Many players do not like this Dravdi was the guy showing the fight against SL...but who supported him? He betrayed dravid. when he was captain it was dravid performance, hardwork brought him succes as captain. In WX2003 india reached final b`uz of sachins brillinet performance. not b`zu of ganguly`s captiancy or agression. it is ganguly, zahirkahn, dhoni, harbajan should be kicked out..

No you dont have a genuine Leader apart from Ganguly ... Sachin and Dravid are not leaders... Only Saurav is ... So why dont have him train Yuvraj ...

I agree with you Indra. After this debacle I have no faith left for Dravid not only as a captain but also as a player. My assumption is if the captaincy is stripped off from him he may get back to his usual form. Infact I did not see much use of him in this world cup. He was more of a burden and less of a player. Besides, this Shah is the foundation of the trio-MORE-Chappel-Dravid. Most of the people are not happy with this TRIO. They have solid reasons for that after this debacle. Interestingly, I saw one Indian News paper, where they depicted Dravid relaxing in a cool breeze while Dhoni warming up for the cricket. If that is the level of dedication one needs to have in cricket then I would prefer to go ahead with the Young players and like to see one as captaining Indian team say Yvraj or Sewag. This world cup was a testimony to Dravids incompetence as a captain. If you guys dont agree with that then you do not want any good for your country but the politics.

For your last sentence... i would say it instead of you ... if people feel that you are biased. Yes ... Saurav's Spirit is well better than any one else... Continue with saurav. Train Yuvraj singh as he is a genuine leader. forget Dravid, Sachin ...They are greats who are old ... Train the new kid ... just like you did to Saurav in the Shades of Azhar and Sachin... It should be a better team atleast in 2011 ... We have a Talented players ... but no Ricky Ponting or Achillies... so get them by training ...

I forgot one attribute - poor bowling as well from Ganguly. I am wondering who would like to have such attributes in a leader and follow it, on top of that. In that case, what's better ? Retain Sachin as captain. He scores better than Ganguly anytime, in any form of the game, as much as Irfan scores over Agarkar.
