'Dravid is one of the most astute captains'

Nonsense. Niranjan Shan seems living in a fool's world. He doesn't know abcd of Cricket and he is talking about Captaincy. Let him play politics in the BCCI so that he can destroy the Indian Cricket in co-ordination with senior cricketers of India.

Each and every senior member of this Indian team should be kicked from the back and ask them to go home. We should not give any respect or make them heroes when they are out in the field again.

BCCI should sack the following players without any delay : Sachin, Ganguly, Dravid, Sehwag, Harbhajan & Zaheer. They should not be allowed to play more politics and spoil Indian Cricket. All of them earned more than what they deserve. We (fans) made them heroes and now it is right time to give them back.

My sincere request to all cricket loving people of India to boycott the matches if the above players are again selected for team India.

And Mr.Nair, you know all about cricket. Do you know where a cover fielder is placed? Or for that matter do you know what is a leg-cutter or an off-break?

Mr. Shah is absolutely right that Dravid is an astute caption. REmoving shirt and waiving it in the balcony or making the opposite caption to wait for toss is not the sign of aggression.

Cricket is a gentlman's game and it is good for cricket if fanatics do not watch the game.

Mr Babu - Don't get upset because I know you are a strong supporter of Rahul but the fact is that he failed miserably in motivating the team. Because Niranjan Shah supported Rahul you are also backing Niranjan. Please let me know your postal so that I can detail you where is the cover fielder placed, what is a leg-cutter or an off-break.

Please don't react like a child. Our problem biggest problem is reaction and we don't have a collective opinion.

Mr. Nair,

I am a 50-yer old and right from my younger days, I was fascinated to this game. I still recollect those days in the early 70s, when I used to hear commentary on AIR when no one in our village knew what exactly this game is. I have seen, GAvaskar, Vishwanath and Abid Ali batting for India, withb Farooq Engineer, Solkar, and the bowling department handled by Chandra, Bedi and Prasanna. I do not react without any reason. I know what captaincy is all about. We have seen Mike brearly captaining England and taking them to newer heights. The very same team was lost miserably miserably when Botham was handed over the captaincy. I have seen how Lloyd handled his players. In the Benson & Hegde series in Australia, I have seen how our Gavaskar guided Indian team to victory. They brought in the bowling changes when it needed. Their field placements were perfect. That is the difference between a bad captain and good captain. No captain can motivate his batsmen, espectially if they are already established. Do you think Ganguly can play any role in Dravid's or Sachin's batting. They are senior players and do not need any motivation as such. If Sreeshant or Harbhajan is batting if the caption happen to be atthe other end,he can motivate such players. For that caption has to be there in the field. Sitting at the dressing room, no caption can motivate any batsman. Criticism heaped on Dravid is absolutely baseless. EVerybody blew their own bugle. And everybody feels they know cricket better than a Dravid or a Sachin! Think yourself. Do you think you are a far better authority than Dravid, Sachin or for that matter Ganguly to comment on cricketing matters?

Babu
