Shameless brazen
by Dan Lewis on Apr 02, 2007 08:56 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

What a personality! When the rest of India is remorseful our dearest captain is enjoying his holidays! When he has made the rest of Indian hopes naked, he is holding his towel!Keep doing that DRAVID but take retirement beforehand.

Come out with a name? why? You think "Dan Lewis" name is so recogniazble that scribbling it on rediff makes a god-damn difference?

If you think posting your name (which in all probability is fake) is brave, then maybe you should go all the way and publish your phone number, address, your bank account numbers and your credit card numbers as well. Going by your logic that should really make you 'Gladiatoral' and greatest (moron) blogger ever!

Grow up. Get desensitized to papparazzi. You don't own his personal time.

He owns his irresponsibility, timidity and insensitivity in keeping all our hopes down. World cup is more of National and less of personal. Your comments remember me the famous story: When Rome was burning, Nero was playing violin. Because we never bought his personal time. Right? We simply relied upon an opportunistic ape. High time-better be matured.

Moron Dan Lewis, Dravid should not go to the beach because India did badly at the WC?

Besides, BCCI is not run by the govt. It is a private organization which is not even registered in India. So if you call it a national shame, it is your problem!

If a private company like Infosys or Wipro do badly and their shares fall, is it a National shame?

Don't compare burning Rome to a player spending time on a Beach. He is not throwing a Party there. He is just there with his family for a possible quiet time. For all we know, he might be in the worst mental state right now. What do you want him to do? Commit suicide? A game is more important to you than another human being?

Like I said in original reply, get desensitized to papparazzi.

If he had an aorta of sincerity for his country he would have given up his captaincy status. It is fine he could not deliver it. He is a human being and he used to be a great player as well. We do not want to loose him. He can service better if he throws up his captaincy admitting his inability to lead the team. Instead holding his position up for the captaincy is an absolute stupidity. Again, it tells that he is more power savvy and less democratic. Look at what Inzy did for Pakistanis.

Passing judgement without a trial. How democratic is that? One tournament doesn't make a captain. If every captain started resigning after every defeat, it would be a bigger chaos.

Your argument sounds like: THE OPERATION IS SUCCESSFUL BUT THE PATIENT IS DEAD. We dont want that kind of ultramodern and technically superb capabilities that can anticipate many-a-things but in reality produce NUTS.
Okay.. How many times one would get a chance in a world cup? Come on, one failure kills your chance.....one needs that kind of mental back up to go to the world cup..He failed to produce good things....you must remember that some people were asked to resign eventually even after the team reached the final....If that was the premise then I can not accept anything that does not go even close to that situation....I think Dravid was given ample opportunities to excel as captain. He has already made it a chaos. The World cup was a testimony of DRAVIDs incapability.I AM THINKING OF THE FUTURE THAT IS WHY I AM WORRIED.

So Dan Lewis, you are "THINKING OF THE FUTURE"....hmmm ok. So someone made you think of the future

As they say in Hindi..tere aukaat na bhool. You can think about Iraqi future but it is not going to make one ounce of difference to anyone.

So dont think, do! Here are some ideas from bloggers on rediff-
a. not buying products endorsed by cricketers
b. not spending money on cricket (tickets etc)
c. not visiting (indian) cricket sites (which we all know you are doing)
d. get out there and start playing cricket
e. get out to the stadiums when Ranji and school tournaments are going on and encourage lesser known players and teams who show promise.

If you have to think, think about what you can do rather than what BCCI will do and what will happen to Indian cricket. Dont assume you are somebody- the great Dan Lewis woh everyone will listen to.

So he is a shameless brazen if he goes to a beach (or anywhere) with his family?

No, because he is still holding up the position. I have no grudge if he takes a nap in the beach. I was perhaps little bit provocative when I first saw the picture and as you suggested that might be because of the paparazzi. Nevertheless, I still feel he can give a lot to India as a batsman but not as a captain.
