greg is a failure.

Flexibility is important. Yes, but players mentality is also important. Some players may not be flexible. Senior players will have set ideas. Rahul seems very flexible (bats anywhere), but even he could not open the innings. From outside, I cannot figure out the difference between 1 down and an opening batsman. Specially for India where we never had a good opening pair, 1 down batsman is almost an opener. VVS and Rahul play phenomenal at 1 down but are disaster as opening batsman. I would think Greg would understand these simple things.
He still wanted flexibility (duhh!) Some people will adapt better than others, coach has to understand these finer points and work with people. I still dont understand why the coach is not responsible? why is he there? why do we have one? Remember ---- last 40 years we never had such bad results with all the different players and different coaches this is the first. Mr. Greg please own up to it. He has never said, he was wrong. Hmmmmmm..... also remember he talked about vision 2007... his track record has been really bad. Look Whatmor, Woolmer, Moody, Paras Mhambrey, Robin Singh these are good coaches and they were average players. Average players tend to make better coaches -- why? because they understand the struggle, they understand about players insecurities. Even in US the football and basket ball coaches have been average players. Larry Bird, Isiah Thomas have been lousy coaches.... We are not going to solve the problems of Indian cricket in few days but we can start with Greg. Send him where he belongs .. down under.
