Dravid Chappel

It was a combination that carried on unnecessary experiments.
1. Changing the Captain was not necessary.
2. Instead of Saurav's come back innings being appreciated he was dropped from captaincy and team.
3. Unnecessarily players were dropped and non performers like VRB Singh , R P SIngh and Raina were given chance game after game.
4. Pathan was destroyed.
5. Dhoni's batting orders were changed.
6. Commando trainings and Kabaddi and foot ball games were unnecessarily played.
7. Zaheer and Harbhajan were not relied upon and dropped and reinducted.
8. Laxman and Kaif were unceremoniously removed.
9. A sense of uncertainty was created among the members.
10. Team spirit were deatroyed.
11. Dravid was never magnanimous and never gave courage and inspiration to players to fight as a team.
12. The same team under Ganguly without Chappel interference would have been a much much better team.
13. You can never expect performance from shaky players suffering from uncertainty.
14. What happened was written on the wall the day Rahul took over the mantle.
15. A good instrument Team India was gradually made a junk by More-Chappel and Dravid trio.
There should not be any misconception about it.

Another main point. Greg Chappel did not force any game to play outside subcontinent in 4 years time. We played only 3 series (South Africa tour, West Indies Tour and Malaysia) and we lost badly in all the 3 tours. Greg is very smart and he chose all the matches inside India.

If you remember John Wright, we had so many Aus tour, WI tour, Natwest (in England), South Africa tour etc. That is one of the reason why we entered Final last year. How come, Greg didnt think about playing in other countries.

You idiot! A coach has absolutely no say in deciding the schedule of the team. This is decided only by the ICC and the cricket control board of the country.

u have raised good 15 POINTS but forget to tell about BCCI, do we require a politician as its President, let us hope we need a good cricket minded person to occupy the chair, how can spend atleast minimum of 8 hours in the office to let know what is happening from top to bottom.

Totally agree with your points.
Dravid's failure to induct the confidence & killer instinct in players is the biggest reason for this failure. Players were coming on the ground with dropped shoulders & no confidence at all, as if they have already lost the game before it starts.
See the clippings of the team from last world cup & from this world cup, and the reason is there, very visible.

What you have said is 100% correct. Moreover The coach should be an Indian like our one and only great kapildev who can freely interact with the players and get results. These foriegn coaches are waste.
