Surely this one !!! Never ever have two players As good as Nadal and Federer, played in the same ERA !!! If you look back , there was a time when Sampras was on Top and really no-one to challenge him in Wimbledon. And Probably Aggasi, but the match was no so Gripping. Looking back further , the quality of the game was not so good as the ones we have today, So don't compare Bjorn Borg and other people with Nadal and Federer. This is the only RUNNING ERA which will be remembered for TWO champions to have played not just one. And really both of them are True champions. All of us agreed that Federer is One of the best Tennis Player of all times. And then Nadal Defeated him.So what match we must have had. 10 years from now it will be called as the era when Federer and Nadal played and not just only Fedrer or only Nadal. And looking at the match, the fact that none of the players made too many unforced errors , made sure that the game was at its pinnacle from both ends. Both played their best tennis. No One lost his nerve till the very end !! Invariably the best finals ever. Just imagine what we have in store in Wimbledon 2009 !!!

Your words make you seem quite young if your recall goes only as far back as Sampras and Agassi. You have not seen the likes of Connors, Borg and McEnroe, Lendl play, let alone even heard of players such as Bill Tilden, Pancho Gonzalez, Ken Rosewall, John Newcombe, Rod Laver, Roy Emerson, etc. Please look up the page on Rod Laver on wikipedia as also the section there on Laver's place amongst the all-time great tennis players; it will offer you a deeper appreciation of many players over the decades as also where Sampras and Federer are said to stand amongst them. It is quite possible, though, that you will cling on to Federer and Nadal as they are the only two you really know something about !!! It is not to deny Federer and Nadal's pre-eminence in the current time but for all-time greats you have to look at a much-longer time span than just the last decade or so.

one of the best matches in recent times. dont you think rain played spoiled sport? i am happy for that match and feel pity for the folks who was watching the cricket match and fot the Ferrari supporters. working up to the finals it had the makings of a dream final and the visibly upset champion committed a lot of unforced errors and let the challenger gain the title. i dnt want to compare it with Borg and McEnroe one or anything like that. now a days with the advancement of technology even the players tend to relax a bit especially with the challenge option. It went in to the wee hours of the night but I can surely say that i witnessed a classic final. Felt for Federer but it gets sort of boring if the champoins are not streched to the limits. Nadal worked up towards this and deserved this one i believe.
