Take a poll
by sur sur on Feb 29, 2008 08:21 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

If we take a poll of tennis fans,I feel Bhupati will not get support of even 10% of the fans. Most people would support leander. The problem is Leander wears his heart on his sleave and this is being misused by others for their ends.

WHERE WAS BHUPATHI WHEN LEANDER WON WIMBLEDON SINGLES JUNIOR ? keshava moorthy,No. you are WRONG. india played in finals in DAVIS CUP with ramesh krishnan, amritraj brothers and leander as well. he has been a workhorse. Bhupathi's motives have always been selfish, he was always opportunistic in choice of players (in doubles, though there is nothing wrong in it) - but he is nowhere as far as davis cup is considered.

Right, Leander has been a pivotal figure in wherever India has been represented in last 10 years or so. Contribution is highly commended and we all respect him for that.
But crux of issue is not his contribution, but how is dealing with the team members. All of a sudden four of the members can not come and fire against him for nothing. And no one can say that Buhpati have made them do this. Leander certainly has a lot of issues with his attitude and can't really get along with people. It is mainly because he has to get the lime light and he has to be the leader and he has to talk and talk and talk.

Please check your records, Mr. Moorthy.

This Bhupathi boy was discovered by Leander in US playing college level matches. Leander brought him into the national team and then made him his doubles partner in the international tennis circuit. Rest is history. Mahesh owes his fame, and whatever came with that, to Leander, largely.

Before 2007 very few were aware of Rohan's existence in the tennis circuit.

And, Prakash...., well, that 'Amritraj' sirname is not enough to get him in the team. He is not even a shadow of his famous father.

Now these three have teamed up against their mentor.

You may not like my views but these are facts

I agree. Leander has done more for India. If he says that some of the players are not trying hard enough, then probably it is true. But this has obviously tripped the others ego.
