Rahul Dravid should have known that Anand has already writtennot one but two books. ('My best Games", and a new book under same title with more material).
If Dravid made a google search, he would have also known that Anand's "My Best Games' won the British Chess Federation award for the best Book of the Year!

there is nothing to be ashamed about. Dravid is a human and he is bound to make mistakes. In fact Dravid reads a lot...ins pite of that he missed that book. Shows that he is a human after all

Such a well spoken versatile person!!!! We should be proud to have a captain like him representing our nation instead of cribbing about his lack of this and that.....if you can critisize a person for his flaws....you should also be able to appreciate his good points!!!!!!

Yes, I agreed with this comment. Moreover Dravid is a cricketter and it is not a mandatory for him to know that Anand published fewer books earlier.
You have to feel proud that a legend from another sports is appreciating this.

Absolutely!!! Dravid is very well read. In fact he spends time with his books when he goes on tours and his team is out partying and that was held against him as well...can u believe it? He himself said that his idea of having fun is sitting down with a book and enjoying it. Not everyone is a party animal. Kudos to the wall!!!!

And more over, Dravid has asked Anand to write a book "not only be cherished by people who follow the game but also for people who want to succeed in life." Please understand what he has said. He is a professional sportsman & a stylish batsman. Hats off to Dravid & Anand.

Bhaumik has a good point, but did wrong by writing "it is a shame". He made so many fools here like Abdul Salam, Bharat Murthy known that Anand has written good books on Chess. These Gadhas cannot go beyond regionalism and bengali hateing.
