Though its not a subject here, Leander is the best tennis player but a less recognised tennis player for India. He is a real fighter and he had his famous wins when he played for India in Davis cup.Despite of his age, he is still ready to play for country and gives his 150%.Despite of his differences with Mahesh, he is ever ready to team up with him for country's cause.Offlate he has been doing well in Doubles, But undoubtedly Leander is the pride of India and I still remember the emotions of him when he won the Bronze medal in olympics. We salute you Leander

Leander is a Bronze medalist in the olympics. How many from India from any discipline could achieve this?
This way Leander is worrth emulating and worshipping. Not tendulkar, not Dravid. I may be wrong in my view, Please correct if there is anything wrong.

I remember ppl critisizing Leander all the time for winning in junior circuits and challenging him to compete with men. Exactly the same venom was thrown at him. He too was using his own effort and money to do whatever he could on his own. But people wont leave him alone.
When his personal problems became public, people criticized him for playing for himself instead of the nation.
Unless there is an involvement of personal ego and selfish interest one cannot succeed in any field other than social services. The only restriction should be that ego and interest must not go against the nation and humanity.
