Maniacal Adulation
by suneet sangameswaran on May 23, 2007 05:08 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

a few few weeks ago on the article about this girl returning to practise had a bunch of canines yapping about her se-called perceived achievements. cant c any of that barking as yet.
as for ms mirza, i think it is high time the media does self-congratulation for successfully ending a promising tennis career with their usual hyper-elevation of the talent mixed with an overdose of publicity.

Well said. But this has become a comman feature of our life. Get into a game and win couple of matches. Sign Ad endorsments and later who cares how you perform when money is flowing in your bank accounts and papparazis all over you.
Its shame Indian sports has been spoiled by these Ad companies. Look at our crickets, they are worse of whole lot. Bunch of waste , don't even have a fighting spirit. Just blame , blame and blame on others. Regional politics etc etc.....

well said all! i've been saying this for ages. this bloody media has done it again. they are killing of a nice talent. this is what happens when fame goes to head. she has been so arrogant that she refuses to change her serve technique in spite of having one of the worst serves in women's tennis.
waiting for kids here to jump on the 'you are jealous' bandwagon.
