by G Ramayya on Aug 22, 2007 10:20 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

I have an idea.. why don't we all here in the rediff forum make our mark by contributing something for Sridhar. Lets start with whatever we can. For all that you know Sridhar will be our next hero. We cannot particiapte in policitcs to make a difference and instead of just writing our thoughts this is an excellent opportunity for us to show we can chagne things.. what do you say guys

So u r saying that by changing SHRIDHAR's fate by our contribution, u r helping INDIA CHANGED???

Come on man, what r u saying???
Do u know how a country is made or changed???

IF U WANT TO INDIA OR URSELF...BE TRUE TO URSELF FIRST...I'm not pin pointing anybody.

I want to change INDIA, by HELPING CHILDREN's EDUCATION, POOR's HOSPITALS...that's it.

Vikas, I have to disagree with you..If Anup Sridhar gets the support he deserve, espcially financially, that will lead lot of kids to take up sports as their profession. Once they start excelling in it, they will get more support from industries and people. Its like a chain reactin. This create several opportunities in future. Sports can eventually be a great industry by itself. If encouraged well, sports can even eradicate poverty. And this is an area where our country is doing so poorly.

He is asking for sponsorships and you people are talking abaout charity. I don't think Sridhar will like to take the amount from a charity fund.

I think Rediff should set up a mechanism where we can contribute small and big amounts for the cause of our neglected but promising sportspersons and help them overcome their costs .

Excellent idea and a good suggesstion! Lets make it happen if Rediff can provide a payment gateway to such contributions...The proverbial small drops makes a big ocean will help such budding sportsmen.
