HIJAB CONTROVERSY

Dear Sirs/Mesdames,

I have a feeling that we Indians have nothing better to do. If Sania wears something which is suitable for her tennis it becomes a controversy. If she wears hijab it becomes a greater controversy.

What is wrong with us? Can't a sportsperson be entitled to her personal life. Can't a sportsperson perform Umrah.

Just because she is a Muslim does it mean that she should not play tennis.

If people are so worried about Sania, then the best thing to do will be to stop watching TV if they feel they will be corrupted because of her dress. It is not because Sania is spreading immorality because of her tennis dress; but it is us or we people who cannot control our emotions and allow it go wild which is the root cause of all problems. It is high time these people concentrate on other weightier matters like unemployment, poverty alleviation, corruption, unhygiene etc.

I know these things are not stylish and not in vogue, but these are the things which can make or mar our country or culture.

Regards,

Sanil
