In my opinion, the 10 year old 6th std boy Bernett Orlando from Trichy, Tamil Nadu, India is the best sports star of 2006. He represented India in Dutch Open Rubik's Cube Championship - 2006 in Delft University of Technology, Delft, The Netherlands from 14th oct to 15th oct 2006. He solved a 3*3*3 Rubik's cube blindfolded in just 3 min 55.77 sec (including memorisation time) and became the Youngest In The World to have done it. He also solved a 3*3*3 cube in just 12.41 sec with eyes open!!! He went on to break 6 Asian Records and 16 National Records. He was awarded with "special achiever award". All his achievements went unnoticed. He made India proud!!! Hence, in my opinion he is the best sports star of 2006.
