Can rediff explain the meaning of close contest? I mean one party barely touching 70 seats and one party is almost 40 seats more than that, is this close contest? I do see BJP winning close contest of coming general elections too. Thanks to reckless journalism

it also depends... if BJP gets even 105.. but Congress and JD-S ally then they may get 113 leading to problem for BJP... Thans why it have been mentioned close contest :-)
