Lingayats claim that they abolished caste system and yet they are the most casteist in India.
BJP in Karnataka is a Lingayat party. They gave no tickets for minorities. Lingayats got more seats than their representation in the population. All winnable seats were given to Lingayats and loseable seats to other communities.
All other communities must adopt tactical voting to defeat Lingayat (BJP) rule - vote any party well placed to beat Lingayat (BJP) candidate in any constituency. Make BJP forfeit deposit. Last time BJP forfeited deposit in 42 seats. This time we can aim to triple it

round reports indicate massive mobilisation of Dalit-Muslim-OBC vote in favor of Congress. Muslims will resort to tactical voting for first time in Karnataka (They will vote for JD(S) wherever Vokkaligas are strong and everywhere else, they will vote en-masse for Congress). During last elections, BJP had managed to win a few Vokkaliga votes but this time it will not get even those because this elections is a battle for supremacy between Vokkaligas and Lingayats (BJP supporters). The BJP's vote share has not increased beyond Lingayat-Brahmin who constitute less than 20% of state's population. BJP is all hype and noise with no substance. Silent majority is with Congress (opinion polls have confirmed it whether you believe them or not). Congress will win clear majority and BJP will have to struggle even to get third position (like in UP). So all this CD, VCD, blockbuster tactics by BJP will not help!

People of Karnataka have seen the un-holy alliace of congress with JDS despite defeated in 2004 elections, after the socalled Mr.S.M.Krishna dubbed as No.1 CM for 5 years rule, was a verdict on their performance, and People are feeling betrayed by the Dirty and power hungry family rule of JDS with both Congress and BJP without any shame despite having No mandate, they have also seen the backdoor rule of congress in President's rule and its unsuccessfull efforts to stall the elections for uncertain period by knowing that they will loose badly in election, Now the people are suffering because of the mis-rule of the UPA Govt.at Centre headed by a puppet PM,experiencing hardship everyday due to skyrocketting prices of essential commodities and vegitables, fruits and Diesel/petrol etc., and the rising inflations, growing Terrorism in Karnataka also. with these failures and pitfalls, with what face the congress is expecting a majority ? people of the state are determined this time to teach a fitting lesson to Congress and JDS, they want to give a chance to BJP who is branded as communal by vested interests and castiest forces, the congress is rendering only lip symapathy to Minorities and Backward people and treating them only as votebanks and not rightful citizens of India in last 50 Years. BJP has organised it election plan well in advance and also given progressive agenda of development and has got able leaders both at state and national level, all earlier elctions in other state
