The Dirty politics played by both Congress and JDS in Shikaripur by supporting SP. They dont have guts to contest against BJP in Shikaripur. They talk big words like secular vote etc........, all not real.

Boss, don't under estimate Bangarappa in Shimoga. He is a formidable candidate and has never lost in Shimoga district. In shikaripura it is actually Bangarappa v/s the BJP. On his own, Yeddy is not match for Bangarappa. Even teh most ardent of BJP supporters know that. I won't be suprised if Bangarappa wins. Out of 1.73 lakh voters, 45,000 are lingayats who are strongly with Yeddy. But Bangarappa has the support of the Idagas, OBC and Muslims who make up 60,000 of the population thereby giving the edge to Bangarappa. So it is going to be the rest 67,000 who are going to decide who wins from Shikaripura.

Slight correction ramazz.. Both are not confident about winning the seat. Yeddyurapa wanted to contest also from Tumkur or Dharwad South to ensure his win. It is going to be touch and go. the one who wins will do so with a margin of less than 2000 votes. About the demographics, the biggest community is the Lingyats (45000), followed by the Lambani (40000), followed by the Idigas (35000), Scheduled Castes (18000), Muslims (12000), Dalits (10,000) & Christians (2000). Bangarappas confidence comes from the Idiga-SC-Dalit-Minorities combine. Bangarappa is a Idiga while Yedurapa is a Lingyat. The only way Yedurappa can win is if the Lambanis vote for him which seems highly unlikely even though the BJP has virtually poured money like water into Shikaripur to buy votes.

Ramazz, Bangarappa (supported by arrack lobbies) is most corrupt and worst CM in state history. He was involved in CLASSIC COMPUTER corruption scnadal. He and his family represented Soraba constituency since 40 years, but Soraba is not developed and classifieds as backward constituency by Dr.Nanjudappa report. Bangarappa has been cheating his cast(edigas) and poor in Soraba for long time. This is the irony of our state and country. What is purpose of him coming to Shikaripur, not to serve the peoples but just to cheat and win. Where as Yedyurappa has done lots of work in Shikharipur. Even he has worked for SC/ST and poor peoples cause since 20 years. I am 100 percent sure that Yeddi will win. Also Yeddi developed his constituency very well. Bangarappa power hungry and that is why he jumped to many parties for power. Bangarappa was the one who introduced corruption in our state.

Cong-I is a past master in cheating voters and playing tricks in each and every constituency in india.After going thru the reports it is unfortunate that naxals have entered Karnataka earlier we used to think that Naxals/maoists are in AP State only.
If BJP comes to power, I am sure they may wipeout terrorists and naxals.If rogue Cong-I and cunning jackal JDS join hands to halt BJP, I am sure Karnataka will become a hub for naxals/maoists and terrorists.
People outside Karnataka are guessing that the BJP will cross 113 seats own its own.
