First of all, let me congratulate you on your resounding election victory in Gujarat. Whether it is due to development or Hindutva or your personality or a combination of all these factors, the voters of Gujarat have decided to give you another five year term in office. Still, I would like to point out that a significant minority in your state does not feel secure under your rule. And there is no need to guess the reason for this because it is pretty obvious to all of us. I believe that the next five years would be a wonderful opportunity for you to change this perception among the common Muslims in Gujarat. I am telling this to you since you consider yourself to be a patriot. Please understand that development of India will not be complete unless all sections of the society feel secure. Therefore, I request you to give due consideration to the development and the security of Muslim citizens in Gujarat. Please note that I am not asking you to neglect Hindus or indulge in appeasement politics or be soft of terrorism. I am merely asking you to do your Dharma as the ruler of Gujarat for the next five years. And an inclusive development of all sections of the society is an integral part of that Dharma. Victory can sometimes make people more moderate. I hope your victory in Gujarat will have a similar effect on you. Please consider my request. Thank you.

dear fun "mullah" lover, can u come down from ur pompous, leftist pedestal and feel also for kashmiri pundits and for nandigram pograms to start with before..or is it only for ur fellow minorities in gujarat u have feelings for

I don't consider myself to be a leftist. Also, I am an atheist. So I am not a Muslim either. Yes, I do feel bad for people in Nandigram. Nandigram is, in my opinion, highly under reported compared to Gujarat. I also do feel pity for the Kashmiri pundits. That is why I think the government should not be soft on terror. However, I talked about only Gujarati Muslims here because this particular column is related to Gujarat.

Dear Sir or Madam, I will write about those issues in columns which are relevant. Does relevance mean anything to you?

Call it publicity or whatever you want. I don't think your charge of irrelevance stands. This column is relevant to Modi, Gujarat and the elections. Also, while there have be no riots in Gujarat in the past five years, that is not the whole picture. Most Muslims don't feel secure in Gujarat. They feel alienated. The riot victims are yet to receive a decent compensation. These are just some of the issues. I was merely hoping that in future, these aberrations would be set right by Modi. An ideal Ram Rajya is what I was hoping for. I have the right to hope for that!

Dude, sometimes a request can work wonders. Who knows? Confrontation may not always be the best idea. Anyway, I am trying to do whatever is in my power. It is better than doing nothing.
