I welcome this fatwa for whatever good that it can do. But I doubt the purpose of this fatwa when it is an apparent and obvious fact that there has been violence where ever their percentage is high in any part of the world. If muslims have to become peaceful, the only solution lies in closing down all the madrasas (notwithstanding a few of them pursuing legal and stated objective) and restrain clustering in a particular place (old city/ walled city etc). This should be followed by common civil code so that the population can be contained. Excess population leads to poverty and consequently ignorance which are fertile grounds for breeding rabid communalism.

I completely agree with Sastry on this issue. There should be a common civil code for all Indians. We can't have different codes for different religions. Most of all there should be a limit to the number of kids these moslems can have. The only thing they do best is to procreate and add to the propulation problem which they couldn't care less.
