the specific Hadith in which the number of virgins is specified is Hadith Al-Tirmidhi in the Book of Sunah (volume IV, chapters on The Features of Paradise as described by the Messenger of Allah, chapter 21, About the Smallest Reward for the People of Paradise. The same hadith is also quoted by Ibn Kathir in his Koranic commentary (Tafsir) of Surah Al-Rahman: "The Prophet Muhammad was heard saying:'The smallest reward for the people of paradise is an abode where there are 80,000 servants and 72 wives, over which stands a dome decorated with pearls, aquamarine, and ruby, as wide as the distance from Al-Jabiyah [a Damascus suburb] to Sana'a [Yemen]."

Taking a few passages from the Quran out of proper historical and textual context will not give a proper understanding of the religious scripture.....
Those hadith clearly mentioned those who fights for the cause of Allah... But its not linked to todays terrorism....
When you guys comout from ignorant, darkness just want to bast without knowing the clear meaning of it.....

who in this world wants to know about that qurann. we judge u r religion by what u people are doing. You people are killing innocents for no reason . Thta is a mistake and your muhmood promises 72 virgins for killing these innocents.
My suggestion to all Indian Muslims; u were once hindhus and Your forefathers were murdered by these bloody muslims and how far its right to follow their religiona nd fight agianst your own hindhu brothers who faught to save your wifes from being raped by those barbaric muslim rulers???/

Yes..NO WHERE IN THE ISLAMICS BOOKS THE NUMBER IS MENTIONED. There is a typo in the book you refer to, it is just on 72 year old virgin and not 72 virgins

firstly, about Krishna : He had legally married Rukmini, Satyabhama ... he did not take sex slaves like Muhammed
Yes, he loved Radha and there love was not requited, but still they are adored as a symbol of love!
The so called story of him having 16000 wives is misinterpreted ... they were ladies who dedicated their lives to him like nuns , no physical marriage ... so please dont abuse without knowing facts
