Who is dalit and who is not?!
by Arokiaraj J on Jun 01, 2008 10:28 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

The news story is a littl eoff the ground. It is published in all National dailies and shown in 24x7 channels. However the point missed is that most of the anti dalit stories from TN are picturised as Dalit Vs Caste Hindus(?) which is in correct. In many cases teh antio dalit groups belong to Most back word and other Back ward communities and some times even minorities whose caste back ground is either MBC or upwards.Sociogists and anthropologists have a to make a detailed study and feed the bancrupt and visionless political parties on what to eb done.

Arokia Raj, Most of the journalists and many contributors to this rediff site are like caged parrots. They repeat what they had heard once or read once, somewhere - many years ago.
They will keep on repeating "Caste-Hindus vs. Dalits" or "Brahmins-this-and-that". They will not want to find out the truth by visiting these places.
It is sad. They live with the "mis-information" for the rest of their lives. They separate themselves from reality.
