Let us bulid many more such walls
by Godfather on May 30, 2008 11:07 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

India is a pseudo secular, pseudo equilatarian country...Political leadership in this country doesnot want to get away with centuries old caste practise and thats why they keep the flame of reservation burning...People blame Hindu religion for the caste sytem but if u r familiar with Vedas u would never blame this religion... caste system is an anachronistic social practice, not a religious one...Although many Hindu scriptures contain passages that can be interpreted to sanction the caste system, they also contain indications that the caste system is not an essential part of Hinduism... The Vedas place very little importance on the caste system, mentioning caste only rarely and in a cursory manner... In the Vedic period, there was no prohibition against the Shudras (which later on became the low-castes) listening to the Vedas or participating in any religious rite...'Hindu and frontline' are owned by lefties and they are so biased in their reporting that i had to immediately stop reading these stupid magzines...If a wall can maintain social harmony and peace in this country we dont need to break such walls ...let us build more such walls so that peace prevails in this land

The way you are talking, it seems castism problem in India is only 100 years old, and things were hunky dory before that.

Oh really. Tell us something new. The caste is the reality of india. The so called lower caste people suppresed for so long are asserting themselves. Thanks to the relative affluence and awareness they have "aquired" now. All these preachings come only from upper caste people. Go tell this to a lower caste guy and he will say take a walk
