I am not talking in favour of any party (though I am pro-BJP).
I just want all of us to think about our electoral system.
A party which got 110 seats, a party which got more than the next two largest parties put together ( 110 > 80 28 ) has to depend on a couple of independents.
The current rule that a party must get more than 50% of seats was good in the olden days, when we had very few political parties, but I think it is no longer meaningful in the current days, when there are many political parties and we are getting fractured verdicts.
Even at the centre, Congress is at the mercy of commies.
So, guys, please think of electoral reforms and suggest some innovative ideas.

To my understanding, BJP is trying to rectify this problem ever since his JanSangh time. It requires constitutional amendment saying "The biggest coalition should be invited to form government but necessary rules can be passed only by majority"
BJP never had optimum majority to get this done & Congi/Commie/Chamchas never liked this since it is against their underlying interest of Chaos. They feed on Crime & Corruption & a stable solution is against this.

"electoral reforms" only when BJP is winning. Jealous of BJPs win and unhappy abt Congresss defeat ? Natural for a congressi.

the thing is that morons like the BJP party workers can never think beyond the hate they spread...only Cong does revolutionary thinking in India...only they have the guts to amend the constitution...anyway a party has to win convincingly like in Guj..KT is still a fractured mandate..no party has won here...so Cong JD can tie up under the present constitutional rules...anyway all fundamental changes like liberalization of Indian economy, technological telecom revolution, Right to Information Act, WOmen's Bill etc etc have been proposed and many implemented only by COng..BJP dosen't have capability to think beyond power grabbing and sleeping their 5 yrs of rule.
