The defeat of Congress in K'nataka is a timely wake up call for the party. You cannot win elections in a state without identifying upfront a key leader cum potential CM by sitting in Delhi. The common man reacts to what hurts him most, viz. roti, kapada and makaan and the Congress's inability to keep inflation/prices under check is likely to hit it hard during upcoming general elections. Only point in Congress's favour is their record on secularism as against BJP's blatant partisanship but this alone will not help them elections. Congress better wake up to reality ! One SM Krishna alone at the last minute cannot win you the elections. Stop daydreaming and come up with some concrete strategies.
