Do not be a fanatic
by Basheer on May 15, 2008 06:29 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

There is a generic trend once a Muslim name is involved, all Muslims are responsible. If that is the case, even for any nexalite attack the whole Hindu community should be blamed(usually Hindu names are involved.).Because some media and fanatics are looking for a reason to bash that community.

And what is this Huji? After every attack some names will come out. After a week there won't be anything. Bring all criminals out and hang publically. No Muslims are against it.

Another feeling is India is belonging to Hindus and they can tell anything.Fortunately 99 percent do not believe that. But the remeaining one percent fanatics does not have any control.

Imagine if some Muslims talk the way Raj thakkeray talk. What will happen here.

I appeal all good Muslims, Hindus and other religious communities to restarain and support the blast victims.

While it is absurd to blame entire community due to the misdeeds of a few , it is also true that moderate muslims remain passive and do not seem to feel the need to check the nefarious designs of the few black sheep among the community.

SOME LEADERSHIP FROM WITHIN THE MUSLIM COMMUNITY HAS TO COME AND PROVE THAT TERRORISM IS UNISLAMIC FROM WITHIN THE LITERATURE OF ISLAM BY RE INTERPRETING THEIR HOLY BOOKS

THEN ONLY THE RVIL OF TERRORISM WILL STOP HAUNTING INNOCENT MUSLIMS & WHOLE WORLD

Indira,

Where is the leadership? Who represents Muslims?
That is the truth.

Muslims did not organize as Muslims after independence. They were always in mainstream and mostly congress uitilized it and they betrayed the community.

And FYI, Dayoobandh condemned all such terrorist acts some one or two months ago.

Ramesh,

I usually read almost all article in rediff. Most of the time fanatics are ruling the board. I feel rthere are no use of conversating them and that is the level of abuse they put against the community. No one is there here to convince or defend or argue. Because educataed Muslims are only a few.

I am working in a reputed IT comapny where the presence of Muslims will be less than 2 or 3 percentage.

I always believe fanatics are also there among Muslims also. And I believe good hindus are always having sympathy with Muslims.

i agree to what you say. but note that naxalites do not kill in the name of hinduism - they kill in the name of mao. likewise islamic militants kill in the name of islam. so if islam does not permit such acts, is it not the responsibility of muslims to educate those of their religion who interpret it otherwise? what has been the effort of mainstream muslims towards this?

Brother I agree to the fact that Muslims should educate their community bout this evil.

This is a community with most illiteracy and all backwardness. Many of this community does not even know a blast happened at Jaipur!

Some organizations use them for some criminal purposes.

and ultimately it is the mainstream muslims who will really pay for such acts. because the terrorist doesn't care if he lives or dies. but the mainstream muslim wants his family to live well and it is their welfare that is threatened by such attacks.

basheer, it is primarily because mainstream muslims did not take the effort, that the whole community is being blamed today for such acts - all over the world. i know it is not an easy task - but only you guys can do it. others cannot.

Dear Basheer Dont say no muslim is against hanging terrorist. Again my statement doesnt mean all are. There is considerable population of muslims which will feel threatened if Afzal is hanged, even leaders like Farooq Abdulla will cry if Afzal is hanged, so dont say that no muslims are against hanging terrorists.

Basheer,

This is not going to be easy until the poverty goes away and literacy increases...People have used this religion to control the public from the begining of time, initially the powerful one in the pride (look at the animals) controlled the followers, then the followers increased we started creating this religion, nothing else happened....

Have you see anything else worshipping an unknown existance of a super power, only we human race do, because we are intelligent and we wanted to blame someone else...
