Ali.. I always beleive that the religion is not corrupt, only the people incharge (they think they are the authority) are corrupt. But these are common even in the moderate muslims. 1. give priority to the religion before the nation they live in 2. flat out non-beleif of other Faiths period. As long as the above 2 are in then the person can easily be led into acts of terrorism.

It is interesting to note that the blasts also coincided with the spurt in cross border terrorism along the LoC in Kashmir and the political turmoil in Islamabad over Nawaz Sharif%u2019s brinkmanship on the future of Pervez Musharraf.
As the debate rages on the nature of response to the serial blasts on this blog and Nitin%u2019s, Offstumped takes a hard look at the reactions in the media and political circles to reiterate how India must wage the War on Terror.
First the reactions in the media and political circles
It was puzzling that none of the major english language newspapers carried any editorials in reaction to the serial blasts. The reaction in the political circles is interesting. Until yesterday the Congress did not lose an opportunity to rake up Kandahar to deflect debate on its pathetic anti-terrorism record. It is interesting that since the blasts, the word Kandahar has not crossed the lips of any of the Congress loudmouths. It is also interesting that even before any investigations and conclusive evidence presented, Shivraj Patil%u2019s surrogate Jaiswal started to allude to that foreign hand. This press conference by Jaiswal epitomizes the flippancy and casual attitude with which the UPA dispensation has been responding to Terror. The Leader of the Opposition and the NDA%u2019s Prime Minister in waiting L.K. Advani hit it on the nail in his reaction that there is no fear of consequences or accountability under the UPA regime.
While some have argued for a revolution and wiping out the enemy on the one hand others have argued for addressing all outstanding issues and peace talks.
In response to the 7-11 Mumbai Blasts Offstumped over a series of posts had articulated an approach for taking the war to the enemy as Nitin puts it.
So how do we take the War to the Enemy ?
First the moral compass.
All the anger and frustration is completely understandable but there cannot be any room for morally unconscionable actions. Dharma has to be the guiding force for how the Indian State conducts its War on Terror. Offstumped had articulated the moral doctrine for how the Indian State must discharge its Dharma by drawing heavily from Gandhi%u2019s interpretation of the Bhagvad Gita.
as the Indian State debates its response to terror, it must be purely guided by its primary duty to its citizens and not by any other moral considerations. The State must not take recourse to inaction under the cover of the resilience of its people. More specifically the State when in posession of legitimate intelligence on intentions of terrorist to hurt and kill its citizens must act proactively to pre-empt, such pre-emption is morally consciable for the alternative is willing inaction which is immoral. The state must not rule out going to war against terrorism in fulfilling its duty as long as it does so fully mindful of its consequences and has demonstrated the capacity to accept those consequences with equanimity

Yes Ali, we all know that bacteria and virus have a tendency to spread very quickly. Islam's idea of rights to women is stoning them to death. Ha haa...

Islam gave rights to women 1400 years ago, rights to vote was given to American women less than 60 years ago. Lets talk about the facts dont let hate blindside you. Islam stopped the kiilings of unborn girls, this is still practised in India even today

Ali, I totally agree that every religion has their darker side. But get the big picture where Christianity, Hinduism are heading towards. They have reformed a lot and see where they are now (don't pick 1 or 2 exceptions here and there). See where Islam is headed to.. if they had freedom 1400 years back they are getting canned on the street at the free will of Talibans today. Is Islam hijacked? may be true. Hindus fight amongst themselves and kill 100 or 120 (not arguing that this is acceptable..) but look at the scale of destruction Muslims are causing amongst themselves and to the others outside of islam. It cannot be compared. I am a Hindu, I can tell I beleive in Mohammed and Islam and Jesus and Christianity from the bottom of my heart and that is tolerance. Can you say that you beleive Hinduism & Jesus also along with Islam?

My friends it is because, muslims are never allowed to live alone on their own, by powers that are great (US-EU). 1. Why Russia invaded afghanistan. 2. Why did US raised Talibans to defeat Russians in Afghanistan? 3. Now why is US pulling down Talibans it raised? 4. The joke is in none of these campaign, the leaders of Talibans (ex-ministers) are arrested till date but the whole of Saddam's cabinet is behind bars, why? 5. Why Palestine is not a country on the face of the earth? 6. How many resolutions in UN were Vetoed by US in favour of Israel? 90% vetoes to be precise. 7. Oil is the biggest attraction for west to create trouble in middle east? 8. Who is a liar in Iraq war? Bush or Saddam. Saddam said there are no weapons and Bush said, there are? Do you see a sinister design in creating chaos in muslim countries? 9. Now Iran is being made into a new case?
When will this stop?
The more muslim countries are subjected to war, hatred the more problem for all of us.

All Muslims are not terrorists. I do agree. But most of the terrorists are Muslims. Why. Did you ever think. Did any Muslim organisation opposed this like what they did in the case of Ayodhya?. Actually more than Ayodhya this Muslim - Terrorist link is the most shameful one for any true muslim.
