Re: Tokenism won't revive Sainik Schools

Adding to above views: Post 1990's we could even find state governments like Maharashtra opening their own sainik schools (those days), I am till date unable to understand, the purpose of opening another such school(s) when we already had one.Funds from state government were almost nil, which took schools in a poor state.

I feel there needs to be direct involvement of center (defense ministry)eliminating the roll of state,to again bring up the standards which sainik schools are known for.

Rs 44 crore at the rate of
Rs 2 crore each to the 22 Sainik Schools for
immediate improvement is a temporary solution.
but rightly said ""Come on, cough up 44 crores"
at least will help control the situation getting bad to worst.
