Let's hope all the big talking IT guys went and voted this time and not ignored a very important responsibility that all educated and professional people have. IT personnel are a significant portion of this group.

Anywhere in India, IT people are pampered lot, you cannot expect them to understand the plight of common man. In fact, anybody who does not discharge the constitutional obligation of casting vote is to be punished and it should start from the educated IT people. Impounding one month's salary to begin with shall definitely send the right message
