India and it cultural/linguistic woes and its rivers.I have been blogging for sometime regarding this.
The current fast changes in the national politics are a result of globalization, international trade and individual states aspiration to deal with foreign countries on their own terms because each region has legitimate need to be represented and respected with their own culture and/or language, when they are outside country.
Indians have been within India for a long time so there was an unsaid understanding between the indians about who is who. With more and more indians going outside to foreign countries there is an growing need amongst indians about expression of their unique heritage and form relationship with other nations based on that unique heritage. And Indians generally fight with other indians about culture and language and indulge in dirty politics with each other when they are outside.
Now as more and more remittances are foreign trade getting into india, no state wants to bear the financial burden of another state.
As we all know that trade and work go together. And working together means communicating together first, Hindi was that medium of communication thus far as indians were mostly with in india, that was the understanding.
With more and more indians going abroad and money coming from outside the country because of each states international trade / work relation, most of the indians dont feel the need to do their communication in hindi, and computeri

Indian secular UNION should be REORGANIZED in to A FEDERATION OF 5-8 nations states and reformed into a federation having common national military as well as state military.
We give foreigners a very poor and confused impression about india and keep fighting with eachother when we go outside india.
If we reorganize we can have a clear sense of national cultural identities with some common cultural background. The current state police/business/and adminstrative structures of current states can be used to form the new nation states to form common tax base. This will give clear national identities to each group in an administrative mess caled india, where every body thinks the other state is taking advantage of me.
Upper north India:- Punjab, haryana, Kashmir,and I think rajasthan should also be part of it, but it gets counted in nothern india.. i dont know why.
There is north india Hindi speaking regions :- UP, Bihar, MP .. Rajasthan, but rajasthan should be struck out of this arrangement.. as vasundhara raje herself said rajasthan is not part of BIMARU states.
West India :- Maharashtra, Gujrat
East India :- Starting from bengal, assam, and 7 sister states of india.
South India :- Four states of karnatak, tamilnadu, kerala, andhra pradesh.

SOME MORE PIOINTS ------------------
*Every Citizen SHOULD START TO PAY TAXES, STATE, NATIONAL. *There should be one national army. *Every Indian should have 2 identities cards. 1)Indian Passport 2)State/(future country) issued State ID. *ENGLISH be made national language for interstate communication. *New nation States can work out arrangements with other states for trade and taxation purposes and to control flow of people. * IT BE MADE MANDATORY TO LEARN THE LALNGUAGE OF THE STATE OR ENGLISH IF PPL CHOOSE TO SETTLE IN OTHER STATES i.e, After a period of 5 years of stay in another state they should be issued a new state ID card.
*Amritsar or chandighar could be capital of proposed Upper North Indian States. *Delhi could be capital of north indian states. *Bombay can be capital of the west india states. *Calcutta can be capital of east indian states. *And south india can choose a capital for itself.
National Capital of the proposed INDIAN FEDERATION federation can be voted by the proposed indepedendent nation states. It could be any where in the country based on the votes. It could be DELHI only if people so decide, IT Could be BOMBAY or even CHENNAI OR BANGALORE.Based on peoples will.
The future power structure in new delhi will represet the interest of north indian states. Not all of INDIA.
Maharashtra can also have consulates from various countries. And the INDIAN FEDERATION CAPITAL NEED NOT BE DELHI. It can be anywhere in the country based on how people vote.

The people who have power in India namely UP/Bihar due to their excessive breeding would never agree to divest themselves of power.
Something like what you say can happen only after a struggle. Why would the likes of Maya/Lalu/Mulayam agree to this deal?

There was one time when Mr. Bala Thakare raised slogan against south indians specially for people of Karnataka, Now most of Marathi IT intelectuals are licking at Bangalore. Now his relative Mr. Raj Thakare has raised slogan against UP & Bihar. Things are changing fast, beleive me most of Marathi farmers must be getting ready to lick the UP & Bihar.

They should be made independent countries. And then they should have economic cooperation and treaties between them. That will be much better than an indian union as it stands today. There are three leves of resource sharing:-
1) Water 2) Minerals 3) Food
For water sharing arrangement:- --------------------------------- South indians shares the river system which has origin in maharashtra. south indian rivers, so they could form a soft union of their own to.
Similarly punjab sares their rivers with pakistan. they should make a loose federation of upper north indian states to manage their affairs with pakistan.
Maharashtra and gujrat has some common culture so they can make a happy social setup in a separate soft union.
East indian states have brahmaputa river and culturally close to bengal they shoul make a separate political identity.
As far as MINERAL resource sharing is concerned, ------------------------------------------------ there should be a separate cross national (ie various future state countries) comission to manage that. That commission will belong to the future indian federation.
Food sharing arrangement can stay as it is with central authority for controlling prices nationally.

computerization is enhancing this trend because all the computers and their systems are in english.
Now Indian ppl. face this delimma, of dealing with outside world and/or representing their economic interest /culture(which is tied to language)/ representing their nation.
This delimma is causing a lot of upheavel and heartburnign amongst states and how do they comunicate with each other and how do they align there state interest(read states people prosperity) with national interest and cultural indentities.
This gets reflected in the office politics aswell where ppl get their paychecks. Indians are very bitter about eachothers regional/cultural identities and dont want to be dominated/led by another.
To solve this delimma we need an urgent solution ourselves, lest this further spirals out of control. Here are some thoughts to this end :-
