These so called Son of soil theory and its effects can be nullified by making Mumbai a centrally controlled Union territory taking it out from Maharashtra.
Mumbai has a cosmopolitan culture. Let it develop in that way. It doesnot belong to one cynic Thakerey and his goons. It belongs to the people of India. Now, as these have started this nonsense issue of North Indian immigrants, the centre has to think seriously about taking out Mumbai from Maharashtra and declaring it as Union Territory.

This is not a solution. Take an example of Delhi. They also hate people from UP and Bihar. Every state should develope in a way that it should be self reliant. See UP, it has nothing for employment. All govt enterprises are corrupt at such a big level that we can not ask them to work for us. Police has become criminal. Where shoud we go? Everybody is fighting with each other, Students does not pay Fare in city buses. People stick their chewing gum in Cinema Hall seats. People use blades on seat cover bikes, govt Buses. Which kind of socierty is that? why maharashtrians should accept these people in their state? In colleges your class mates steal your books, in hostel other hostelers can steal your money, your book, even your shoes. what kind of people are us?

Well Said. Totally agree with you. Not only Mumbai. Add Chennai (with 100 km radius), Calcutta (with 100 km radius), Bangalore and Hyderabad and other big cities should be declared as national business centers, governed by President (not even the corrupt MPs) or by his IAS officers. Ther will be elections for these officers only. English, Hindi will be must in Education plus the local language. India will be very different in a few years.

Raj does not behave as a leader, he talks like a goonda of some Gang. In his marathi speech he actually abused Lalu and was extremely dis respectful to almost all leaders. If this is the future of marathi voters, i am sure then its end of road of maharahstra. He looks so frustated and restless..has no calm on his face and speech. Even his small fry's shirish parker..talk so much non-sense. I think he has no leader like qualities. With this attitudue his issues are taking a backseat, some of them are genuine issues but he makes light of them by talking non-sense.

I fully agree with you on this issue. Mumbai should be declared a UT and seperated out from rest of Maharashtra. Only then will it grow and become developed. Today, all the cheap politics is dragging mumbai to backward ages, ....
