It is said that ' a pen has a strength of a sword'. All I can say that we need such (like Mr. Adiga) 1000 more authors/writers, rather I would call then thinkers who should generate 'REVOLUTION' TO SAVE OUR CULTURE, HUMANITY AND GOODNESS. Educate people and have HONEST leaders in politics we , the INDIANS would be the BEST lot in the WORLD.

I haven't read the book. But from the above interview what I understood is the author is just highlighting how the master-slave relations are surviving in India and why the violence. But does not discuss how to end it. Its not any enlightening article. Even if you have a million of such authors.. each one will be a millionaire selling the book on poor...

Writing and debating does not solve problems. Writing and bringing about the issues is like, "See we have taken the trouble of bringing out the issues. Now someone please do the footwork and the dirty work". And those who do the actual work, their names dont figure anywhere.

Vey well said.We are running after big bucks but totally ignoring the other india. If the maoist are gaining strength its absolutely due to the corrupt politicians who are doing nothing for the backward areas Its the print media which can create an awareness of our social responsibilties.Don't expect the politicians to deliver what they have promised its people like you and me who should take the initiative to do something for the under privileged else 10 yrs down the line you may not be able to move out of the metros
