China fire power

It is known well China is the king of the region be it economically, fundamentally, socially and even in defense.

Fundamentally - Remember China was never ruled by outsider. While India dogged under british rule for 4ooyrs. So fundamentally tough to crack and is superior

Economically - Mao realised the market economics sooner and started developing china in that mode. China attracts much more FDI than india any time.... but at the same time put a rule that every FDI has to do technology KT to local players to operate in the country. Even it will overtake IT edge with in next few years.

Socially - China is socialisitc(atleast declared) in their approach and iron fisted any regional or sub regional freedom movements. Remember tiaminen squre and Tibet? In contrast look at J&K, Punjab, naxalism, NE debacles of indias internal policy.

Defense forces- Well China used its large populous to the best use. When they could beat india and nehru 45yrs back then can crush india any time. China developed ICBMs well before most of us are born (pre 1970s). In contrast india behaving like an idiot by depending on ageing Russia for arms. Neither it can develop indigenously nor it wants to have open relation with israel/US for the fear of internal political dynamics.

China pro active foreign policy in the region just isolated india with all its neighbours raging against it...latest entry is Nepal. It is reflection of failure on indias policy towards its neighbours.
So India

Fundamentally, Economically, Socially China may become super power. That is not an issue. Eventually what is going to happen is the subject of matter. No countries in the world have confidence on china. That s is enough for China, itself will collide.

your analysis is o.k but the perception regarding indo-china relations is foolhardy spiced with US and israel-led anti-communist hysteria.
you should understand that minoo masani styled anti-communist won't work any more at least from the asian sub-continent point of view.the politics of the entire region has gone a sea change since the cold war days.
depending on russian technology and arms was indeed helpful to india....only an opportunist like you would ignore for obvious american-fed reasons....
and about china....you remain assured that the russia-chinaindia triangle will eventually jeopardise american and israely dreams...dreams of becoming the super power....
and regarding problems like naxalism,JK you views are somewhat o.k but in that list you should also include the tibetans-creating unending nuisance and wastage of indian subsidy.

Hello Sanjeev,
There was a concept called RUSSIA-INDIA-CHINA triangle about two decades before only. not now. Things are totally changed. Can you tell me a single point that we can appreciate china's stand on India. I can give thousand reasons why India should very cautious about China.
Open your eyes see what's happening around.
