If there is any merit in the argument of the legislature it should have been taken up with the judiciary. The legislative wing should NOT have the right to put a election commission officer, that too of the rang of State Chief Electoral Officer, behind bars.
It is even more strange how such an act of legislature pass with unanimity? Why no one opposed it?
