1) Took India towards Socialism ...we are now embracing Capitalism and US which he could have done long before ..who knows we could have been a rich nation by now..Friendship with US would have atleast stopped some of the wars with Pak..
2) Kashmir Issue was highlighted in UN which led POK and little part to Chinese.
3)Duped by the Chinese..with a comic puch line hindi-chin bhai bhai..

Nehru has done lots and lots of good for this country. It was he who initiated massive electrification of India and lots of manufacturing units were setup including Steel plants, Neyveli Lignite factory, atomic power, cement manufacturing units.India became sulf-sufficient in rice production only because of him.He believed in peace,non-violence, mutual friendship and none would have expected in 1950s and 60s that China would betray us.He is a true patriot and is one of the greatest Indians.

nehru was not the only patriot in india at the time of independence...

there were numerous great intellectuals who would have dealt better...

yes, he was a highly educated individual, but that does not mean that he was a good administrator...

"Being good" and a "Good administrator" may be entirely different....
