from purely natinal point of view, if India had helped form a Eelam State, she would have had a steadfast ally in her soft underbelly not like the one on her eastern flank, who stabbed her in the back at the first opportunity. But i guess Rajiv Gandhi was too stupid to understand hard politics unlike his much brainier mother.

More lessons to learn. But India finally learned the lesson, to mind its own business and not to side with the LTTE terrorists. Hard bitter lesson, but well worth it.
But some of it's citizens here, are behaving like headless chickens.
