Why should we Hindus worry if Muslims/Christians 'blame' us for idol worship ? Why should we care ? Most human lives have been lost in the last 2000 years due to conflicts by Christians/Muslims.
The idol helps us create an image of God. It is easy to focus on something if you have an image in front of your eyes. This is scientifically proven.
Secondly, we Hindus believe that God is omni-present. God takes up more space than this Universe can provide. So essentially everywhere. In a stone, a mountain, a tree, animal, human. The physical artifact provides the medium to reach God. If someone doesnt need the medium, that is fine too.
We dont need anyone to authorize us on the correct method of worship. We have been doing this for 5000 years when most religions were not even established.

agreed with u. its different preyer methods of different religions. its a belief which cant b challenged. just as 2 plus 2 makes 4 cant b challenged.

agreed with milind. @ haramohan ray. god doesnt tell us to do right or wrong. he provides us two paths. which path to choose is upto us. so for the hatred among us v cant blame god but only ourselves.

Muslims(sunny and shia) worship Idol:: rounding Kaaba is what? Christians worship Idol:: bowing down in front of cross in church is what? But both muslims and christians argue fiercely what they do is not Idol worship. Is this not laughable?

About worshipping Kaaba and Stone in it's wall, But do you know what is meaning of IDOL WORSHIPING? It means you consider that god exist in or have a shape of that Idol. For stone in Mecca, muslims respect it as a holy stone or auspecious stone...they kiss it as a part of ritual....BUT THEY DO NOT WORSHIP IT. They do not ask that stone to solve their Problems. They do not believe that stone has power to give them life or death. Half knowledge is dangerous my genius freind. You are a good example of "semi intellect brainwashed hatred factory products loaded with beutifully crafted FACTS AND CONCLUSIONS".

If one believes in worship, he/she has every right to do so in whatever way he/she chooses - you are right. But, if God exists everywhere, then why this suspicion and hatred among the people in the name of God? Why does God not prevent us? So, does he exist at all?
