Marathi language is basically Koli people's language. Naturally, its sounds are primitive and it has very limited vocabulary. Its literature is such that no one in India, outside the Maharashtra, knows anything about it. In other words, it is a language which has no future. That is why no one wants to learn it, and that makes ghattee people extremely upset. I feel that it will take another two hundred years for the ghattee language to develop into an advanced language like, Hindi, Bengaali, or even Gujrati! For example, many dialects of Hindi such as Brij Bhasha (Surdas, Rahim, Keshav, Uddhav), Awadhi (Tulsi Das, Kabir, Jaysi), Bhojpuri (Bihari and many others) have much more superior literature as compared to this Koli language! I do concede, however, that ghattee language has good fishermen's folk songs!

you no south ? - it seems you must be orphan, taken shelter in our rich maharashtra for bread and butter. being orphan you dont have name as your, father, surname. since your origin from gutter you will naturaly speak out gutter language, what you have did, is not fault of you but fault of your blood culture. which ghatee language you are talking about only you and like you people know. we, marathis have nothing to do with such dirty culture. people like you must be envy or jelous for our rich marathi language, rich culture, advanced state in industries, education. and thats why all big industrialists, indian and foreign prefer maharashtra. sorry, people like you will not understand such high calibre status. you better go on begging from one state to another state and speak against those people who give you food and shelter. what beggers can do ?

Our language may or may not be underdeveloped.Your states of UP/Bihar and your sick mentality are on display here. The pains for propagating womens' education were taken by Mahatma Phule and Maharshi Karve and that has seen the modern educated Indian women express herself confidently and helped India's progress. In UP, the father-in-law rapes his own d-in-law,an apt reminder of the quality of your culture that prefers to keep women under wraps and claim themselves and their culture/language to be better/supeior to that of others
